Release Gold Pledged at a Bank or Finance Company
Gold sitting in a lender's vault is still your gold. If the loan against it is the reason you cannot sell, the release is something we handle for you rather than something you have to arrange first.
We clear the outstanding amount with the bank or finance company directly, collect your ornaments, and pay you the balance value on the same visit. You are not asked to raise the settlement money yourself before we begin.
Once the ornaments are back in your hands they are weighed and karat tested on the counter in front of you, against the live market rate for that day, exactly as an ordinary sale would be. Silver pledged the same way is handled on the same terms.
How the Release Works
Four steps, and you can stop at any one of them.
1. Show the Receipt
Bring the pledge receipt and your ID, or send us the details on WhatsApp. The weight and the outstanding amount are read from it.
2. See the Working
We value the gold at today's live rate, set the outstanding loan against it, and show you what would be left over. The estimate costs nothing.
3. Loan Settled
If you decide to go ahead, we clear the outstanding amount with the lender directly and your ornaments come out of the vault.
4. Balance Paid
The gold is weighed and karat tested in front of you, and the balance reaches you in cash or by instant transfer on the same visit.
What to Bring With You
- The pledge receipt. Whatever the bank or finance company issued when the gold was deposited.
- Your ID proof. The same identity the loan was taken in, since the lender will ask for it at release.
- The loan account details. The account or token number, so the outstanding amount can be confirmed with the lender.
- Nothing else. The valuation is free, the visit is free, and nothing is asked of you up front.
